Hello everyone,
I hope you've had a fabulous last couple of weeks... I know mine have been spectacular! Everything in New York has been crazy busy, from moving apartments, to having my parents here, to working all day... IT'S MADNESS!
My parents came in for July 4th weekend, which was fabulous. We went down to Coney Island, ate some Nathans, went on the ROLLER COASTER, and had a blast. We watched the fire works down by the lower east side, not the most impressive, but it's always fun to watch regardless. Besides eating a lot, walking a lot, and just watching the rain (I KNOW... GROSS), we had a fantastic time together wandering the city. We ate at some great little places: Rice to Riches (rice pudding in 25 different flavors.. yea), the Boat House (in Central Park), This great Brazililan Steakhouse which I'M STILL FULL FROM, just to name a few. We also saw 2 shows with my parents: IN THE HEIGHTS and RENT. Both were very good, although In the Heights not as memorable as I would have liked. Rent is always phenomenal... definitely one of my favorite broadway shows ever. We also saw Wanted... which was surprisingly GREAT. Very violent, but great animation, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a really great time and we celebrated Mommy's 52nd birthday!!!! :)
Work has been crazy busy and I absolutely love it. I'm working on a huge HR score card based on turnover and staffing practices which I've been researching a lot for and data compiling. Now I get to analyze all our abroad offices data, which is pretty awesome. Alli Bloom: Summer HR Analyst. HA. But really I love it. The office is beautiful, the people are amazing, and I love coming to work here every day. It's such a treat that my first corporate job is so fantastic. I really can't speak enough about TSS. :)
Other than that, Daniel and I don't have much time outside of working and eating. We try to hit the park as much as we can (now that we're only 1/2 a block away) and we're trying to see movies, plays, and any other random NY festivities we can while we live here.
What more can I say? I am truly living the fabulous life in the fabulous big city!!!
